Pearl Continental Tower (PC Tower) is a proposed extension project of the existing Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore, Pakistan. The project was conceived by Pakistan Services Ltd., the owners & operators of Pearl Continental Hotels and Resorts. The Tower Wing of the Hotel is proposed to be constructed within the existing confines of the hotel premises at an estimated cost of US$ 80 Million, and was initially expected to be completed in 2010. However, delays caused by the security, economic and political dispensation in Pakistan have caused the project to be delayed indefinitely. The estimated height of the proposed tower is 168 m (550 ft.) encompassing 42 Floors, which will make it to one of the tallest buildings in the city of Lahore. The current PC building in Lahore is 33.5 m (110 feet) high while the new building will be 152 m (500-foot) tall. Canadian-based architect Ramesh Khosla, who received the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 1980 for the Mughal Sheraton Hotel, designed the sky scraper.
