In these days Pakistan is moving through the critical period of time when bundles of social, economical, religious and cultural problems are acting as a sword to break Pakistan into pieces,Terrorism, sectarianism, political instability, diverse culture differences, Religious barriers, inflation and unemployment are destroying the human dignity and leaving the majority frustrated and depressed. The Dove of Peace migrated from our country and all the four provinces are fighting for their own survival. The situation of Peace, harmony and justice is becoming very alarming. At all levels the urge to develop a peaceful society is running out of the priority list. Religion biases are weakening the roots of unity after every occurring event, cultural barriers are acting as a wall of unlimited borders, urge to become richer by hook or crook are making humans self centered, social approaches are cutting down the vision of equality, political up and downs are betraying the trust on the leaders of the state. Apart from all the outer imbalances, our nation is losing its own self control which usually comes into in the form of extremist behaviors and as a result we are changing into an emotionless robot for whom the love for others couldn’t programmed. We are afraid that may the day not come when the word “peace” becomes the alien concept in our country. Development and empowerment Foundation has taken following initiatives For the empowerment of the Depressed communties: • Worker's Empowerment which Includes lobbying and advocacy issue. • Established help line for the women workers for their social and legal support • Mutual relation with other organizations • Education for the poor children of Labor • By doing free medical camps at their door step. • By distributing books among the needy children • Awareness to women about their rights and duties by Women awareness program • By doing Capacity building program aware you • started Peace Campaign With Sunday schools • started Holy Home school for street children • By organizing different awareness programs with Sanitation Workers • with pay skill training class for the poor students.
