Islamabad College for Boys (ICB)
Islamabad College for Boys (ICB) is the oldest boys college in Islamabad, Pakistan.[citation needed] It was established in 1966 during the early years of the city. It is situated in Sector G-6/3 near Melody & Siraj Covered Markets. ICB conducts classes from class one to the post-graduate level. For secondary and higher secondary classes, it is affiliated with FBISE, Islamabad. The external exam for degree classes is conducted by University of the Punjab, Lahore. ICB has over 6,000 students, 3,000 in the morning and 3,000 in the evening shift. All the teachers of ICB are highly qualified.[citation needed] ICB has a fleet of buses to provide pick and drop service for its students. It has two latest computer labs as well as science labs for Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany. There are three modern libraries in ICB as well.
It has a rich history both academically as well as in extra-curricular activities' sphere. Many famous personalities of Pakistan have been students of this institution and are called the 'ICBians.
Old ICBian Club (OIC) is a representative body for former students of the college. The club serves as the official representation of the College as Old ICBians throughout Pakistan. It was founded in 2009 as a combined effort of the ICB Administration and Old ICBians. OIC has grown into a large network and has served many goals and objective other than providing a platform for reuniting the ICB family.
