Al-Khidmat Foundation Azad Jammu & Kashmir a non government and non profit organization, is engaged in helping the poor and the destitute. It established relief camps, provided emergency services and engaged in the rehabilitation work beyond self. In the recent times, Al-Khidmat has been running various community service projects with the help of several generous donors. The main source of funding is the skin of sacrificial animals collected during Eid-ul-Azha. It is the pioneer of the fund-raising by such method in Pakistan. The only spirit which has enabled Al-Khidmat to grow into major welfare institution of the country is the selfless devotion of its members towards serving the suffering humanity. Al Khidmat Foundation Azad Jammu & Kashmir started its service on 8th of October downed as fatalistic day leaving behind ruins and dead bodies everywhere. Tens of thousands people died, numbered were injured and many were rendered homeless. Women and children have been left with disabilities. Earthquake dispersed family’s structure and leaving behind large number of orphans and widows. The relief work was started in all effected districts of AJ&K like Muzaffarabad, Rawlakot, Bagh, Neelum, Sudhnoti and Hattian Bala. Al Khidmat Foundation AJK is registered under societies PEK 1860/21 vide 5/36/2012 dated 09 January 2012 with the vision serve to humanity as an NGO. Al Khidmat is providing services in health, community development, emergency relief and rehabilitation. We can safely claim to be the largest network of humanitarian service in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
