The group intends to:
â— To provide a launch pad for student participation in national and international competitions including and not limited to SHELL ECO MARATHON.
â— Design and Develop a low cost Vehicle for general public.
â— Bench marking existing designs for performance and safety.
â— Human resource for automotive sector.
â— Building repository of Quality literature in the field of Automotive engineering.
â— Advance the concept of design to manufacture in automotives.
â— Explore the use of non-traditional materials and technologies to provide cost effective automotive solutions
The Automotive Research Group invites interested students from all degrees/departments to actively take part, as members or students coordinators, in different automotive sub-domains, identified below

â— Power Plant
â— Chassis Systems, Braking, Wheels/Tires, Steering
â— Body/CFD
â— Ergonomics/Safety
â— System level integration, Electro-hydraulics, Controls
â— Use of Composites and other non-traditional materials
In manufacturing domains, we seek students for the following areas
