The Government College, Bhakkar has been declared as a sub-campus of University of Sargodha by the Government of the Punjab. It is situate in the heart of city. It contains lush green lawn, and a splendid building. University of Sargodha is offering various undergraduate and graduate degree programs from 2012-13. Data Center (IT services at campus) Bhakkar campus is in first year of its life. Various IT facilities including networking, web and email services, digital library and E-brary access, Video conferencing service, IP telephony, files and resource sharing over the LAN and high speed dedicated internet connectivity to computer labs etc will be provided at the top priority basis. Research Facilities Life as a research student can be very different from that of an ordinary student. To help you adjust, we offer services of experienced supervisors individually tailored to your study, plus training in general research skills. Knowledge of English Language can be valuable in research, allowing you to access a wider range of books and journals. The Mainwali campus has good facilities for English language study. This campus of University of Sargodha is going to offer various undergraduate and graduate programs from the session 2012-13. Bhakkar is a District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The district was created in 1981 with Bhakkar city (known as Bakhar in Seraiki) as the capital. Its area consists of riverine tract along the Indus called Kacha and the Thal historically called Chol-e-Jalali. Most of its area comprises greater Thal. Mankera in centre of The Great Thal is a place of great antiquity. The old fort here; a historical heritage, is a great land mark of Thal needs preservation. Another old place in the district is Kallurkot. Bhakkar is part of Seraiki Wasaib in western Punjab. Bhakkar city has a population of almost 300,000, the total population of the district was estimated to be 1.37 million in 2008.
